Just remember the old day when I'm just a student
I met 2 farang at เจริญกรุงRd
They asked me how to go to Sai Lom (สายลม... ซอยสายลม?)
I didn't know exactly but told him to take a bus to Victory monument
When they took the bus , I see a road sign at another side of road
it is Silom Road

That's not your fault.
It is the misunderstanding when farang pronouce Thai words wrong.
They don't know it's the different between "สี" and "สาย" which spell in english as "si" the same way.
Bad luck to farang.   

My father's friend surname in thai is "โพธิเงิน"
While he was on board the plane to USA, airhostess asked for Mr. "บะ-โฮ-ดะ-ฮิน-เชิน".
He told himself "what a  funny name the guy have"
After that airhostess phoned Mr.  "บะ-โฮ-ดะ-ฮิน-เชิน" for 2-3 times, he just realized that Mr.  "บะ-โฮ-ดะ-ฮิน-เชิน" is he himself.
He spelled his name like this "Bhodhingeon"
We pronounce >> Bho-dhi-ngeon
Farang pronounce >> B-ho-d-hin-geon
